The existing plant consisted of several decentralized and central plants for chip extraction, which was no longer the optimal solution for the needs of the manufacturer. The manufacturer was looking for a more energy-efficient and reliable system, and they reached out to Technor, a long-term customer of JKF. Technor conducted an analysis of the existing plan and the production line, to calculate the optimal system for the specific need.
Technor installed a JKF component-based solution. A new and straightforward energy-efficient chip extraction system that is demand-controlled, so that only the necessary amount of air is extracted. The waste management occurs via discharge of the material in a ring pipe which blows the shavings into a 34m3 ATEX-approved container. The discharge is controlled so that the transport fan, rotary valve, and bottom scraper in the filter are only in operation for the time that is necessary to transport the waste.
For many years, we have primarily used JKF's Super Jet Filter, as this filter is relatively simple to build and straightforward to assemble for the installers. This reduces time and costs on-site to a minimum. One of the major advantages of this filter is that it takes up very little floor space (footprint) in relation to the filter area available. This has several times proven to be a selling point of enormous importance to customers, who often want a solution that takes up as little space as possible to ensure that the land can be used for daily operations.
